Is Upgrading Always Wise?

Author: admin | Filed under: Home

Let’s look at this scenario: You’re mainly running Office on your computer, and you sometimes use you machine for surfing the internet. Everything is fine: You don’t install new apps, you just leave it the way it is. The only thing you do is UPDATE; the standard setting, on which almost all updatable applications are. What do windows computers do, when you let them Update to the newest software? They of course download stuff, that is completely irrelevant to what you have. What do you want with the Internet Explorer 8, when you use FireFox? For what do you need the HP Remote control Update, when you don’t have a Remote?

All this unnecessary stuff clogs up the computers of the world, so the next time you Update, please check what exactly you are downloading before you feed your computer with the zeros and ones it doesn’t  need.

One important fact: The Updates are mostly important bug fixes which you should get. Just don’t get the extra pizazz you do NOT need.

I changed my Plan: Blog updates will be posted on the weekend, because I’m mostly busy on workdays.
